These engines meet or exceed future, more stringent draft EC emission standards coming into force in 2002.

The Aixam  400, and 500 models are available in 5 colours, except the 500UT version which are only available in white. Along with the model 300 which is also only in white and in the ECO version.

Fitted with the well known and well proven Kubota engine which has been even further refined to give greater flexibility and lower noise levels.

The model 500.5 has the advantage of having seating capacity for 4 persons and the engine to cope with the extra weight.
All models have the refinements fitted to the standard to which you expect.
With safety in mind though not required by law, the Aixam was the first in 1988 to pass crash tests with flying colours - at the same speed and under the same circumstances as full-size automobiles. Further crash tests on new models showed a marked improvement in strength of the aluminum frame. Side-impact beams in the doors provide outstanding crashworthiness.
